Reporting Spam?

As Dmoz feeds many of the search engines i feel as though it has a duty in part to restrict spam sites. However, i am a little confused as to the stance that editors take on this matter.

I have found and reported websites using very bad tactics such as using hidden links which then feed into subpages loaded with keywords. These are then found in the search results of search engines.

I have reported to my category editor this website on a number of occassions but have heard nothing back?

Are these websites considered spam and is it worth making editors aware or are they not really that concerned once a site is in the directory?

What the ODP considers spam can be found on Guidelines: Spamming and Guidelines: Not to include. As a human edited project targeted to human users, the ODP cares for what a human user sees, not what a machine (like a search engine) might see.

So basically: No, it is not worth showing us sites with hidden links, lots of keywords and so on. We do care for inapropriate sites and ODP-spam as outlined in the documents linked above, though.

Although we may want to know about inappropriate hidden links.
