resource-zone.com not listed on dmoz.org

Maybe I'm blind, but I spent considerable time looking for someway to contact DMOZ about our site not getting listed - eventually I was pointed to this site - shouldn't this site resource-zone.com be on the main dmoz.org site?

Am I missing it?

It has been the matter of some debate. The main reason not to do it is that this site is not directly affiliated with the ODP - it is not owned by AOL/Time-Warner (which the ODP is), nor is it run by any staff from the ODP. It is run by a few of the volunteer editors.

The only link to it that I know of is on the add URL page at http://dmoz.org/add.html where it refers to the "dmoz public forums".

As Alucard said. There is an additional link on http://forums.dmoz.org - but that URL is not in use for anything concerning the public, so I think it does not count, huh?

But it already is listed:

I could be totally wrong on this, since the search is still down...but it looks like even resource-zone.com doesn't get more than one listing!

Ultimately, I imagine it would be a nightmare for the editors here if resource-zone.com were highly visible on dmoz. There are already so many "My site isn't listed! I can't read the guidelines! Tell me in gory detail why you didn't list me! Waaannnnh!" Imagine the deluge that would flood these boards if everyone who submitted and was rejected came pouring in.

(No offense intended to you, Jeff. I've checked on submission status myself, and it's great to be able to do that. I'm just poking fun at the people who insist on finding out why over and over again, despite being told that such information will not be released.)
