Hi, I submitted my site many months ago to:
http://dmoz.org/Society/Relationships/Dating/Directories/

I found out through these forums that it had been moved to:
http://dmoz.org/Adult/Society/People/Personals/
because I had a link/banner ad to an adult dating site on the home page. The site is still waiting to be reviewed in this "adult" category 3 months later.

I believe the site would best suited for the orignal category and to this effect I have removed the offending banner ad.

Should I resubmit to the original category or will I be automatically rejected (for spamming) because I have an outstanding submission.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Resubmit. You might want to [Add a note like this] to the description, telling the reviewer you removed all adult material and ask for re-review.

Reminder and warning: Don't put the adult banner back later!

That would be "bait and switch", and it's the quickest way to the closest thing to a permanent site ban there is.

[Not thinking you personally were planning to do this, but some people do: and if you were careless about your advertising partners, it might even happen by accident. So be extra careful...]
