Safe Dentistry Foundation

Dear Editors,
As a former dentist in Amsterdam I’m very concerned about the risks in dentistry. Patients are absolutely not aware of the risks of cross-contamination in dentistry and still have their comforting illusion of real governmental inspections.
I founded the Dutch foundation for Safer Dentistry and made a web site to be seen at : http://dirtydentistry.info

I applied for submission for these pages since 1- November 2002
( health: dentistry: education: patient: associations )

When dentistry is short of editors I might help, but I don’t want to be crucified as being opportunistic.

Looking forward for any reactions,

Richard Goet chairman of Safe Dentistry Foundation Holland

No-one has looked at that site yet, it seems (it is still waiting for review). It appears that there is a lack of editors in Dentistry, so you may wish to apply to become an editor.

Dear Neil,

Thanks for your quick reaction.
There has been a type mismatch in the url of our foundation : the correct address is http://dirtydentistry.info Would you please check this address out and say if you stick to your first remarks ?

With kind regards,

Richard

Your site is awaiting review in this category, along with a few others.

Nobody (at least no editor) will crucify you as being opportunistic if you apply for this category. It looks like a nice place for a new editor to start with, and it's not a problem to edit in a category where your own site is or might be listed, as long as you don't give it any preferential treatment and are willing and able to give other sites a fair, honest, and unbiased review.

In case you apply, don't forget to mention the sites you're affiliated with. You may want to read this thread and this post. We also have a 'Becoming an Editor' forum, so feel free to ask if you need information.
