searches

I have a general question. My site was listed in the open directory about 3 weeks ago or so. But I have noticed that when I type it in, it does not come up on the search results (nor any of the words listed in the description). I try the same with other sites that are listed there and they come up. Is this a problem or does it just take time.

It just takes time. There's a fair chance it'll show up in Google search of the dmoz.org website before it shows up on dmoz.org's own site search.

And yes, this used to bother me too. But I got over it. The trick is to move on to the next project while the slowpokes are figuring out what to do with the last one. At some point you reach equilibrium, where as much new content is appearing IN public as you're producing FOR the public (and your content will keep appearing even after you die.)
