Well, let's start with the basic question. What unique content does it have?

Hello,

Each link can be rated by users. We offer consumer information, Deals and Steals and a new messageboard for shoppers to post comments, reviews etc
Beyond that, Shoparama is the shopping site for Shwing.com -sort of like shopping.yahoo.com or MSN shopping is for MSN.
Main difference is we are an independent site without millions of dollars <img src="/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" />
We have original content on Shwing. We just made the decision to keep most of the advertising off Shwing so that users would not be overwhelmed by banners and popups.
We think it is very helpful to shoppers because as we all know, many affiliate businesses are shakey and we spend a lot of time maintaining the site, making sure we get rid of dead links as they occur. It's a new site and we plan to write a lot of reviews to really help shoppers to make informed choices.

Ummm, does it count that we are good people who want to make a difference?

We would really like to get listed on DMOZ and are opened to suggestions about what to do to get listed.

Best Regards...

Oh! We'll also be listing and hosting local LA shops but we need enough traffic to entice proprietors -- would be something like suespillows.shoparama.com

Which governor was it who visited a prison only to hear a long litany of complaints (from the inmates) about unfair trials, false witnesses, and blatant frames. He finally came to one man and asked, "And were you convicted unjustly also?"

The man said, "no, I really did it, and I got caught."

The governor promptly pardoned him, saying "I can't leave you in here corrupting all these good people."

That's not us. We're not Santa Claus, we don't keep a list of who's naughty or nice. Unless you uploaded your conscience to the website, we wouldn't consider it at all. We just look at websites and see if (and how) they contribute to the sum of human knowledge.

That's a wonderful retort to my obvious kidding. But in all seriousness.. I look at a many sites here http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Directories/ that don't provide as much information as we do.

What does MSN provide here that's so special?
http://eshop.msn.com/

It continues to be the huge conglomerates with millions of dollars who get their voices heard.

We'll just keep chipping away and we'll get there someday.

Gracias...

That is so untrue. Money isn't an issue with listings, and websites aren't voices.

You started this thread asking where it should go, but are you now saying, 'Why can't it be listed in Shopping/Directories' ?

Web sites ARE v o i c e s... HUGE!

No, I'm not saying anything. I pick my battles so I cede defeat on this one. "He who fights and runs away, lives to fight another day."
I'm tired. I won't win. I shall retire now.

I wish you P E A C E...
