Should I resubmit or wait?

I have two sites. The first site, http://www.ezupdirect.com was subitted 1-2 years ago. An editor I knew told me it was in que but in a directory without an editor. It's been so long that I don't know what catagory it was submitted to.
The second site, http://www.yourhost.com was in ( again, I don't know where) and then disappeared about six months ago.
Can you tell me the status of either or if I should resubmit?
Sorry for the lack of a catagory. :(

Thanks for your consideration.

You have to follow the directions in the forum guidelines thread first and let us know where you submitted the sites (clickable link to the dmoz.org category) before we can help you.

[edited to add: I see you don't know your categories. Ordinarily we would be able to tell you much. However in this case I can tell you that yourhost.com was removed because it is a subsite of a site that is already listed and the other one is waiting in Shopping/Recreation/Outdoors/Accessories]

Actually, the way our system works that is sometimes not just a requirement of our rules, but a very real requirement for us to find your site.

However, I was able to find notes on both your sites without too much trouble.

The first one was submitted to Shopping/Recreation/Outdoors/Accessories about a year ago. There are only about 100 sites waiting there now, although the category above it has many more.

The other site was deleted because it was considered to really be part of http://www.executivewebservices.net
- which is listed.

There is no need to resubmit yourhost.com. Your site was re-added into the unreviewed pool by another editor. And by a lucky (for you) coincidence, yet another editor reviewed your site and listed it less than half an hour later. Sometimes the system is very fast... :)

Your listing should be visible to you the next time the editor side syncs with the public side. Unfortunately, this normally-quick process has been interrupted by ongoing hardware upgrades. We do not know when it will resume, and we have no control over the process; staff is working diligently on a fix.

Well, it wasn't exactly a matter of coincidence that the site was reviewed so quickly. Although looking at our notes it would appear that way.

It was a matter of communication and cooperation among editors to correct a mistake. We are a community and work together as a team; although the amount of teamwork involved is not always apparent.

While posting here won't make sites jump ahead in any queue, we certainly do want to correct any mistakes.

Awesome!! Thank you! I understand the hardware issues but it seems to be coming along as DMOZ has been working much better for the last month.
