Should I resubmit?

Hi there,

I recently submitted a site my wife and I did about cooking in general and chicken recipes in particular.

It's located at www.tasty-chicken-recipes.com .

The site is dedicated to home made chicken recipes so Cooking/Meat/Poultry/Chicken seemed the best fit.

It was only after the submission when I saw that particular category doesn't have an editor. In the attempt to find one that does, I went back one step at a time, and the first category that had editors was Cooking.

So my question is: should I re-submit the site to the Cooking category, even though it's too broad for our site topic, and the editors will move it to the proper sub-category?

Or are the same editors from the Cooking category also looking after the sub-categories?

Your advice and help is appreciated in clearing our confusion... Thank you.

Sincerely,
Catalin

The editors of the broader category also edit in the more narrow one. It is always a bad idea to suggest a site to a category that is too broad: for the person who suggests the site it means a longer wait (sometimes years longer, sometimes much less) and for the editors it means more frustration. So you did the right thing, and there is nothing more you can do to make sure the editors review your site.

Thank you for asking before suggesting the site again :)

Thanks

Thank you so much for your help.

Do you have any idea how long will it take for the editors from a parent category to look over the submission? Anything I can do to help?

Sincerely,
- Catalin

We have no idea which editors may log in today, tomorrow, or next week; and even less knowledge as to which categories and sites that may catch their attention, or what they may do whilst there.
