Should I submit sites that were in my (denied) editor application?

Hi -

I just received my denial email! Oh well! I was wondering, I chose the sites in my application (none of which I have any affiliation with) because I really think they deserve to be listed. Should I go ahead and submit them in that category, or have they already been directed to the submission pile? I don't want to inadvertently penalize them by appearing to spam the submission process.

Thanks.

We don't often do anything with the URLs from a declined editor application; the candidate might want to reuse them to apply again :) .

If you'd like to suggest them to an appropriate category, go right ahead :) . Doing so won't penalise them.

Thanks. I really don't know how I can improve my application other than by no longer having a website that could be listed in that category (or by having it get listed before I re-apply), so I will probably just go ahead and suggest the sites.

Really? Having a website that could be listed in the category applied for has never been a problem as long as the category itself is suitable for a new editor and the applicant is totally honest about the affiliation (and all other affiliations). If you were a no-hoper Jim would probably have given you a hint of some kind. Maybe.
