OK it is obvious that if a site is excepted it will appear in the directory. My question is how do you know when your site has been rejected? I have been waiting patiently for 16 months, (I know it takes a long time). I'm not sure if the problem is that there is no editor for my category or my site has been rejected, and as far as I can tell there is no one over seeing this category (I could be mistaken).
Please advise, thank you.

You don´t. But you could read our guidelines which explain which sites will not be listed and which will be.

That can´t be the problem as all categories have editors.

> or my site has been rejected,
That would mean you suggested a site we don´t want to list.

You are mistaken. This is asked so often that we decided to inlcude the question and answer in our FAQ.

pvgool,

thanks for your help, I have read the guidelines for being listed. I believe that I have followed them, so this should not be a problem. Is there any thing you might suggest besides more waiting? I have researched the main category and suggested the site to the cat. that is the ideal fit.

No. Sorry.

Unless you want to volunteer some of your time being an editor.
If you are able to follow our guidelines and are also able to not give any favor to your own site you are welcome to apply for an editor position.
Ofcourse my invitation doesn´t mean you will be accepted. That is for the meta editors to decide based on your application.

Becoming an editor is something I have thought about even before I had my own site. It would be great to have contributed to a world wide project such as this. I will give it some serious thought.

Thanks again pvgool.
