Site Description

I recently submitted a website for inclusion into the ODP (under the category Regional: Europe: United Kingdom: Health: Complementary and Alternative: Homeopathy: Practitioners and Clinics) but realised moments later that my description did not exactly meet the criteria specified.

My dilemma is that because the site is not listed on the ODP as yet, I can't update or alter the original description. Similarly I am worried about submitting for a second time in a month - in case I am then deemed to be breaking the rules.

All advice welcomed. My thanks in anticipation.

No problem. If before the suggestion has been reviewed you submit another one for the same url in the same category, the new suggestion will overwrite the old one.

Even if you don't resubmit, no problem. We're quite accustomed to the fact that not everyone knows our description guidelines, and we rewrite more descriptions than we use unedited. It doesn't even take us much extra time. Even a perfectly compliant description has to be checked against the site for accuracy.

That's good info to know since a few of my sites could ostensibly fit in more than one category or description. I just try to pick the one I think fits most accurately but it's good to know the editors can rewrite description if needed.

And it is needed virtually all of the time. Rare indeed is the description that does not need to be written, rewritten, or tweaked.
