Wow.!!

How could our site be removed after 5 years..?

I read some similar threads and I can only guess that it's because of:

1.) server being down temporarily or
2.) the editor thinks the site is an affiliate site.

Yes, we do have "some" affiliate links like Yahoo does and others but we do offer a viable business in originating mortgage loans as stated on the "about us" page along with our company address. Occasionally, we will give some business to a "direct partner" ( not affiliate ) on account of some states we just cannot do business in but we can offer our services for the majority of the USA, so we are nationwide.
Also, a lot of unique daily news content from rss feeds, and program descriptions ( not copied; others have copied us !! ) and articles.

Perhaps, the editor did not investigate enough and just lumped us in with the 1000's of other garbage mortgage affiliate sites. There is a site with same name as ours but it is ".com" and we are ".net".
The .com site is actually down as of today and being re-directed elsewhere and still listed in DMOZ.
Go figure.

good luck.

The one big thing everybody forget's is that "no site is guaranteed a listing in the ODP".

Ah, there's a terminological confusion here. Is there a word that you'd use to encompass 'lead generation', 'direct partner', 'affiliate', 'doorway', 'portal', 'banner farm', and 'order fulfilment' -- and in fact all the various ways (used now and later to be devised) in which one might offer a service actually provided by someone else?

guaranteed a listing in DMOZ..?

it was already in since 2001 !!

lead generation..? doorway..?

not there....1 deal is $3,000+,

why sell a lead for $20..? if you're not licensed or don't like the business I guess.
There's no disguises here or being sneaky. I've been licensed since 1994.

we make most of our money dealing direct. deals we cannot do are because of state licensing or just not worth it, yes they are sent to affiliates who may use or may not. would you throw it away..?
