Dear,
I would like to submit a site to ODP as I think some users may find it a valuable asset to their current social networking tools. (It's build upon the knowlegde that everybody in the world connects to everybody with six degrees of separation (small world phenomenon ...
The site is for the moment in 9 different languages build up ... all pages have been translated and are usable in the different languages.
Currently 5 other languages are under translation ....
My question now is - how do I submit the different languages to ODP ... in a suitable category?
Do I do only English and get the other languages in as well for "free" so to speak? - or should I submit language by language in the same category ... for me it's somewhat difficult as I do not speak chinese or japanese etc ... so I should contact the same tranlator of the site to submit this to odp ...?
How should I properly proceed with this without losing any time on any side.
I have also read in the submit rules that a site should have already an active user community before submitting it to ODP - but isn"t that a bit the world on his head so to speak - for example some search engines take it from odp ... and you can only get into odp when you have a lot of members .... see my point ... we have to be able to start somewhere don't we?
The different languages are in a subdomain of the site like jp.somesite ... zh.somesite ... etc ...
Thanks for your advise.
Frederik
