Dear Editors,

Our site www.relationshipanswers.com is currently listed under:

http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/United_States/Nevada/Localities/S/Sparks/Society_and_Culture/

Because we are exclusively an online relationship advice site, with no physical location to visit or regionally specific target audience, it would be more accurately listed under:

http://dmoz.org/Society/Relationships/Advice/

I've tried to contact an editor to update but I'm not sure I did it correctly. Glad I found this forum; very helpful. Could you please inform me whether our site is being reviewed for inclusion in the correct category?

Thanks for your hard work and for including us in the ODP.

Contacting the editor usually accomplished nothing. the plan of attack is really quite simple: go to the category where your site is currently listed and do an Update URL request. Explain why the move makes sense in the limited space available, along with your suggestion as to the new location.

And then you wait......

Thanks for the advice Spectregunner.

I guess I should have asked more specifically if you or another editor could please look at where the site is listed and contact the editor in that category to update it. If you visit the category I think you will see to what extent it is miscategorized. We're on a page with a few local churches and the Humane Society.

We submitted a url update months ago. Could you or someone please take a quick look to see if we need to submit another url update form?

Thanks for the help.

I understand what you are asking and why, but we simply cannot do that. Once we begin to circumvent the process, the floodgates will be open and everyone will want us to intervene on their behalf.

We are not trying to be mean, or unkind, we are simply following the guidelines that were established when this forum came into being.

Thanks Spectregunner.

I understand you are not able to intervene regarding our site listing and we would not want to be treated otherwise. I'll submit a new update url request in the category we are currently in and I hope an editor may review it and place it in the proper category.

Thanks for making the ODP work.
