Site is missing in the DMOZ directory!

perhaps someone can shine some light; on this interesting problem. My site is listed in: http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/United_States/Florida/Localities/M/Miami_Beach/Business_and_Economy/. while my site www.marketing-online-biz.com shows in this category. When searching the DMOZ directory, no search results are found. Searching by URL, and the actual name of the site yields the same results. I understand it takes some time to update a database, however over two weeks seems a bit extreme. any feedback would be appreciated.

There's a problem with the search facility. Staff are working on a fix, but at the moment, we're working on a snapshot from about 6 weeks ago.

The date that the search database was last updated is shown on the search page. You'll see it update at some point, probably a few days after the next RDF is produced. (The RDF is the file that other users such as Google download from the ODP and use in their directory).

the last update was 19:15 PT, Sunday, November 3, 2002. my site was listed before that date, so it is odd that it still is not in the database. <img src="/images/icons/confused.gif" alt="" />

That's the date of the last update to the web page of that category. If you look at the bottom of the search page you'll see "Search database last updated on: Sat Sep 28 00:54:00 PDT 2002". This date is slightly misleading in that the update was made from a file generated before 09:33 22-Sep-2002, so it won't contain any changes made to the directory after that point.

There are distinctly promising signs of a new RDF appearing soon so we may get a search update within the next week.

You are getting confused between the category page last update date ( on http://dmoz.org/ ), and the search update date (on http://search.dmoz.org/ ). Perform a search on the ODP, scroll down past the search results and you'll see: &gt;&gt; Search database last updated on: Sat Sep 28 00:54:00 PDT 2002 &lt;&lt;.

Staff @ ODP are aware are the large delay in the search database system and are working on resolving it (and the associated RDF problems) as quickly as they can.
