Hi guys,

Whats going on here?

I have had my site in dmoz for years. I moved it to its own domain, updated in DMOZ, got the update changed.. and now all the sudden its gone? Why??

This doesn't make sense. My site is the best on the web for this type of information by far, with over 100 personally written articles

We don't discuss specific websites here but I can give you a general answer.

There are several reasons why a listing would disappear.

- It's in transit to a more appropriate category.
- It became unavailable and is awaiting human re-evaluation.
- It turned out not to be the sort of website that we list.

Please remember that no website is guaranteed a permanent listing.

Thanks for your reply.

I'm hoping its in some kindof transition although I haven't had any server downtown.

I just don't understand why someone would update the link so that its fine.. and then delist later? I was wondering if someone is confused (multiple editors for same category?) or some new editor into the category who has his own listing in that category and removing listings? Or domain being new? It was in the correct category forsure.. As far as I can tell the site meets dmoz guidelines 100% and I have no problem with modifying anything to meet the guidelines if there is some issue. I'm really only interested in becoming the best source for the information on that topic, on the web.

Just yours? All but his? Unfounded accusations really aren't welcome here and serve no useful purpose. If you have evidence that your surmise is true, raise an abuse report.

We've done all we can for you here so closing. Do not start another thread on the same topic.

A worthy ambition, and fortunately it does not rely on other people, including DMOZ, at all. :)

<Sorry, didn't mean to re-open. Darn tabbed browsing.>
