site previously listed on DMOZ removed

Hi!

My website <URL removed> was in DMOZ under Regional: North America: United States: New York: Localities: N: New York City: Manhattan: Travel and Tourism: Travel Services: Travel Agents. till 2005. We were in NY from 2001 - 2005. I made the stupid mistake of requesting that our listing be modified to reflect our current location, which is New Jersey. But our listing was never reinstated. I have re-submitted the site several times, but so far no luck. Can you please help me with getting our site re-instated?

When we evaluate update requests, we re-evaluate the website at the same time.

No website is guaranteed a permanent listing and it could be that the website is now unlistable for some reason.

Thanks for your response, but the only thing I did was request that our location be changed from NY to NJ. I don't think that made our website unlistable. Could you please re-evaluate our website??

You might have misunderstood our objectives and how we operate here. ODP is a volunteer organisation building a directory as a hobby. Editors edit where they wish, when they wish and as much as they wish within the constraints of their permissions. We have no schedules or systems to force people to do work that they don't volunteer to do. ODP is not primarily a free listing service for website owners and it does not attempt to process their listing suggestions within the time scales desired by them.

I, for example, am a Regional editor who deliberately avoids the global travel reservations sector.

Some volunteer will process your listing suggestion in time but we can't predict who or when that might be. Elapsed times can range from a few days to a few years. There is no need to re-suggest your website and doing so could be counter-productive because a later suggestion overwrites any earlier one.
