Site removed from Dmoz

To whom it may concern,

I am writing to enquire why my site has been removed from DMOZ: <url removed>

I was extremely pleased to find out from my webmaster that the site was listed about 2 weeks ago. The catergory was as follows:

Shopping: Travel: Luggage: Leather Products

These seemed to be the perfect catergory. However, i have just checked and it is no loger there!

Can anyone help or suggest what might have happened? Is there an error on my site?

I am sorry, but we don't discuss individual sites here, because we found that this does not help the directory.

Sites are mostly unreviewed for one of the following reasons:
- One of our automated tools finds it inaccessible for some time.
- An editor rechecks it and finds it was either listed in error, should belong into a different category, or needs mayor rework on title and description.
- There was a violation of our guidelines connected with the URL in question.

Is there any error in the system? Should I report abuse if competition has played a part?

There was no editorial abuse and it was not removed by a competitor.

We do not list all websites and I suggest that you devote your energies to other means of promoting yours.
