I published my website http://www.trout-salmon-fishing.com on 20th January 2006. The main subject matter of the website is trout and salmon fishing in Scotland but it also includes content of more general fishing interest. I therefore submitted the index page to what I then considered the most appropriate Open Directory general category (Recreation: Outdoors: Fishing: Trout). At the same time, having read the recommendations for submitting to regional categories, I submitted the site to the appropriate regional category (Regional: Europe: United Kingdom: Scotland: Recreation and Sports: Country Sports: Fishing: Game Fishing).
On reflection, I think that my intitial submission may not have been as precise as it might have been. In particular, I carelessly included a repetition of the site title (Trout and Salmon Fishing) in the site description. Secondly, I now feel that the general category to which I submitted my site may not be the most appropriate.
Since one month has elapsed since my first submission, I have taken the opportunity to resubmit my index page, complete with a revised description, to the general category - Recreation: Outdoors: Fishing: Fly Fishing. I have also resubmitted the revised description to the appropriate regional category.
I would be grateful for advice on whether my actions, a) in submitting to two categories, b) in resubmitting after one month and c) in revising my site description, are likely to be acceptable to the editors.
