Site Status for http://giftsforyou.biz

Hi there, being I didn't know this place existed, I've submitted my site about 3 times (I believe) over the course of the last 1-2 years while I've been learning the SEO ropes. I can't recall exactly which categories, but the first 1-2 times it was in "Shopping: General Merchandise" and either "C" or "G". The last time, about a month or two ago, I think I submitted it to "Recreation: Collecting: Glassware: Crystal".

Can anyone help me to know if it is still in the works somewhere, or if it was rejected every time? And unless it's still pending, I don't see any other sites offering the crystal products that I offer, so believe web design or other web-related issues could be a culprit for it not being or getting listed. All I know is I work on it constantly, get lots of visitors, quite a few orders, and even have it listed in Google AdWords, FindWhat Ads, and other prevalent directories.

Thank you for any insight you might be able to provide.

After reading some other posts, it appears you prefer to have a link to the category it was submitted to. And the only reason I ever submitted more than once is because I never received a reply from anyone, and did wait for months on end before submitting again. Just didn't know how else to check it without any responses.

At least now I know I can move on in life. I understand that although I specialize in Crystal Figures, and those are my major focus, its probably the side-lined SMC products that kill it. And I can't see removing those for one directory listing; even if it is DMOZ.

Oh, just so its known, even if the manufacturer of the Crystal Figurines that I specialize in did have a listing in DMOZ, they only sell to retailers. And because I've not seen any other retailers selling these figurines, that's why I assumed it was the side-lined SMC products.

Checking Status on Two Site Submissions

Hi there,

Was just curious on a couple sites I'd submitted a couple months ago.

http://giftsforyou.biz/ckshop.php ... please, please don't confuse this with my first site submission request ... it stands completely on its own, I'm marketing it on it's own, it is self-contained, and it is very specialized and focused explicitly on crystal. It also has its own Froogle feed, AdWords placement, and FindWhat campaign.

GiftsForYouBiz, I just realized that is not a shopping cat--I didn't look close enough. Shopping sites can't be listed under rec but rather must go in shopping. I do realize that others are listed there that shouldn't be, so I'm not pointing a finger as to why you submitted it there--I can see why you did. I am going to look into this and move them to the appropriate place in shopping. I can't be more detailed now, but rest assured I will move your site to the unreviewed section of whatever is deemed appropriate--so it will not be penalized. I appreciate your bringing this to my attention.

Wow. I'm glad you caught that. I didn't know there was a demarcation line there. And you're right, I did a search for Crystal and/or Crystal Figurines, and that seemed to be the most prominent.

As requested in the guidelines for this forum, please wait a month after submission to inquire. As you look at this thread, I'm sure you can figure out what date you submitted on and when you can inquire again.
