Hi Neil...thanks for the quick reply! We don't have any affiliates though! Initially our webmaster listed our "Links" page as affiliates. It was however a misnomer as none of them are actually "affiliates". I have since had him change the title to "Useful Links", rather than "Affiliates". There is no revenue sharing whatsoever with any of the folks listed on our site. How would I go about bringing this to someone's attention for re-submission consideration?

Thanks,

Darryl

Hi again,
I sent an email as per your suggestion, and I haven't received any reply. Is this typical, or should I send another do you think?

Thx,
Darryl

Hello yet again,

I am confused. I have not had a response to my email, nor have I had any response to subsequent posts in here. Can anyone please help?

Thanks,

Darryl

Yes.

You man notice that the status was given as "unlikely to be listed" by an "Editall/Catmv" -- that is, someone whom we assume would have been in a position to know the guidelines and the community standards (short of which the site was considered to have fallen).

Who can change the guidelines and redirect the community? Only staff. So your only option was to contact them. Are they likely to change the standards for something like this? No.

You're still thinking in terms of "how can I get my site listed?" which begs the question twice -- you can't get any site listed, only editors can do that; and there are many sites that cannot be listed at all by anyone, of which this is considered to be one.

Hi - Well now I am even more confused (and I don't typically confuse easy!). I am not asking for guidelines to be changed, nor am I asking that the community standards be changed. I am requesting that the site be re-evaluated, as the basis/reason that it was deleted from submission or "unlikely to be listed" was incorrect. If it was dropped because of having affiliates (which I believe was the reason given), then it was dropped incorrectly, as we have never had any affiliates, nor are we affiliates of anyone else. If however, there is another reason other than that given, then I have no issue. I'm merely going by the "reason" given, and asked that it be looked at based on that. I'm certainly not asking "how can I get my site listed", rather, how can I get the staff/editors to look at it and reconsider based on what I mentioned - again, if the reason given is an accurate one.

Thanks,

Darryl

The matter is being discussed. Please bear with us.

Oh, and having affiliates would not be a problem. If it were, we'd have to delist amazon.com. It's being an affiliate that prevents content from being considered unique.

Oh - One other thing...we're not anyone else's affiliate either, for the record!

Thanks again!
