Unknown submitted date. Do I need it? It was well over a month ago. I also believe I originally submitted here, but then re-submitted after realizing that this was the wrong category.

Thank you for your help, please let me know what I need to do to aid in this process.

http://dmoz.org/Society/People/College_Life/University_of_Virginia/ - it is waiting there for review. All you can do now is to wait for that review, which could be anytime - 2 minutes to 2 years, there is no way of predicting. In the meantime check the category from time to time to see if it is listed. Thanks.

I realize now that the category http://dmoz.org/Society/People/College_Life/University_of_Virginia/ is the incorrect category for my website. This category only lists personal pages.

Is there any way to change the category of my submission? Is it acceptable to re-submit to a more applicable category?

The general rule is: site submittals are there to help editors.

If you've only submitted it once, one more time to the right place would be considered a help by the editors.

If you've already submitted it multiple times to multiple categories, then once more (however well placed) is just another mole to whack, and thus counts as spam.
