Great! Thanks Helper! That's probably a large section, any way to find out where it is in the review process? Not trying to bug, just wondering if it is at the bottom of say 1000 other pages.

Thanks again

We are not really allowed to comment on that kind of stuff but it does not look that bad to me - but that is just my opinion. It could be reviewed tomorrow or 2 years from now. No way to tell because all the editors are volunteers.

No news I'm afraid. Your site is still waiting for review.

Hey all, just doing my check in to see if my status has changed and to be sure that I am still awaiting review. BTW, I noticed that my section has not been updated for over two months, is this normal?

Thanks!

There is no "normal", some categories are edited very regularly, some not so regularly. It depends on the availability of the volunteer resources in any one part of the directory, which varies on a day to day basis. I'm afraid you can't read anything into last update dates.

Not trying to read too much into it, I was however thinking that I might be better off submitting to the upper level directory as it does get edited much more regularly.

And if it doesn't belong there, the editor gets the fun of putting it back down to the category where it belongs - like digging a hole and filling it back up.

Not all editors are as mean and nasty as me, but I make sure to review all the sites that are in the sub-categories first, since they took the trouble to find the right place for their sites. Then the ones that were put incorrectly in the broad category get moved to the sub-categories. Then I go work on other things.

I do realize why you think it's better to send to a :cat: with an editor, but it really is self-defeating.

I often move sites in the broad category to sub-categories for further review, before reviewing the sites that are properly placed in the sub-categories, but, due to the way I select sites to be reviewed, that means that I might not look at them when I edit the subcategories on the same pass.

--> In any case, it's better to put the site in the correct sub-category. Better for us, and better for you.

There's been no change in status: it's still awaiting review. If you don't see it listed sometime in the next six months, please feel free to return for a status update on or after 19 December.

Howdy ya'll, Happy Holiday's to everyone!

Well, it's been 6 months and I see that my group hasn't been touched.
Last update: 19:28 PT, Monday, March 1, 2004

Can anyone confirm if I have been turned away, or am I still awaiting review.
Thanks again.
