Wait a couple of weeks. The public directory and search servers are not updated in real time.

do the sites usually show up by site url? The reason I asked is I have searched every category in travel and also put in the url but it always says is under heavey load or not available right now.

http://airborne.com/ has NEVER worked for me, as I have (mistakenly) attempted this many times while doing my shipping so I will still contend that there is an important difference between that and http://www.airborne.com

How the missing www. will affect a particular site I don't know, but in Airborne's example it is a bad thing.

Anyway we are getting off-topic.

We list whatever URL we happen to start with www.xyz.com or xyz.com - provided it works. Once listed we are unlikely to switch from one to the other, unless an editor notices one works and the other doesn't. In general the site owner should take the responsibility to configure his server so that both work, since internet users would assume either would work, and are likely to type either in, and if what they type in fails, they are unlikley to try the other variant.

how long?

When I search for my website I tried the suggestions above, went straight to directories too, but I still cannot find it, altho it is listed I am sure.
I forgot where I put it exactly, so how long will it be before these websites show up in dmoz? and who would check them for me to see?

Without knowing where you submitted - this is an incomplete answer

www.madisonlist.com waiting in Regional/North_America/United_States/Travel_and_Tourism - and probably other places, please do not keep resubmitting to differnet categories.

www.ashville-hotels.com Regional/North_America/United_States/North_Carolina/Localities/A/Asheville/Travel_and_Tourism/Lodging/Hotels_and_Motels

www.book-lodging.com will not be listed

www.carolina-lodging.com - unknown

We have no idea when anything will be reviewed or listed - read the forum FAQ

Despite what you posted in another thread www.madisonlist.com has never been listed in the ODP

thank you for helping me, I thought madisonlist was listed, I have not submitted it too many times, i think maybe 2 times. have I?
I am not the brightest person in the world, but why will book-lodging.com not be listed?
I need to know and will madisonlist be listed?

Read the submittal policies.

If that does not make it clear, then you can almost certainly count on your other submittals also not being accepted. So far as I can tell, there's no chance of your not having violated the "do not submit related sites" rule.

Please don't submit any more sites until you understand why you should not have submitted these.

well, sometimes I have a real hard time remembering what I did, then do it over thinking I didn't do it, or not knowing, but I am glad I found this forum. :confused:
I am disabled and those sites are my only income, I was trying to help myself with getting listed into the main search engines.
Guess I even messed that up. :eek:
