Hi there,
I just found out due to an editor who I am aquainted with that the submission I made to dmoz got cancelled due to being a subsite of a site that is already listed in dmoz.

Problem is though is that we aren't a subsite at all, the site that is already listed in dmoz is actually a competitor (we are a mens underwear ecommerce site).

Is there any way to appeal this decision as i've waited 1 and 1/2 years to get the site looked at by dmoz and for it to be cancelled through no fault of our own feels so unfair.

It would be like a huge website as figleaves getting delisted because any of the brands they sell have their own website.

Any ideas on what I can do to reverse this decision would appreciated

The specifics of editing decisions are discussed within in the editing community, in the internal forums: any editor (including your friend) can participate; and any issues he feels important would be treated and resolved there.

Beyond that, editing decisions are not subject to "appeal" by webmasters, let alone "reversal". In fact, because of the number of vicious webmasters who will use every means of coercion available, including legal and physical threats) they are not publicly discussed. Editing decisions are generally subject to reversal by any editor with privileges in those categories.

Ok thanks for the info, i'll speak to the editor that I know (he is just a guy from another forum that I participate in) to see if he can raise the issue in the editing community

Regards,
Adam
