site submission - no luck for several months

Hello everybody,

We tried to submit our web site, www.archi-web.com to the DMOZ directory for several months (maybe more than a year, can't recall exactly). We tried a few categories which we thought to best characterize our web site, but no luck so far.
We have also tried to contact the editors in the last couple of weeks, but no response from the editor that manage the category we last submitted the site to.
Some of the other editors we tried to contact were very helpful and one of them suggested this forum, that I find to be very interesting.
Our last submission was for:
http://dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/Romania/Business_and_Economy/Internet/Web_Design_and_Development/

I emphasize that we didn't use spam or other techniques, on this submission or in the past. We never had problems on submitting other sites to DMOZ or this site to other directories. I know that this doesn't guarantee an inclusion but we are not certain about why the site is not listed.

This should have been posted in the Site Submissions Status forum (but that's OK, I'm sure an admin will move it over there).

You're waiting for review in that category as well as in http://dmoz.org/Computers/Internet/Web_Design_and_Development/Designers/Basic_Service/A . Don't resubmit and don't submit anywhere else. Both sections are backlogged and it is likely going to be awhile before you are reviewed but you are in the queues there. You can check back here in this thread in a month or more to get an update.

Ok, great! It seems that it takes longer than we thought. We submitted the site about 1 week ago. Anyway, we were afraid the site was already denied from addmission.
We will check this topic in the meantime.

The ODP editing side is down right now, so we are unable to do status checks.

In the Regional category you are still waiting along with a moderate number of others. I have removed a second submission in that category - please only submit once per category.

In the Computers category you are still waiting but there are substantially more others alongside you.

You can ask again in a month but in all honesty three months might be more reasonable. Thanks for the enquiry

We submitted the site months ago but probably it is a very requested category. We'll check in a couple of months, thanks for the update.

Just noticed we have been listed under A...
GREAT NEWS....Thanks to all admins that helped us.

It was a tough task: at least 6 months, but now we're there. :)

It's not the admins here, it's the hardworking editors back at dmoz.org -- which are not always exactly the same folk. Whatever we say or do here, back there the gnomes are grinding through thousands of site reviews a day -- in the end, that's what counts.
