Another Category

Dear Editors,

I was told that I can submit into two categories. I submitted into two categories but was only submitted into one. What do I do so I can get into another category. Do I re-submit, what do I do? Thank-You so much for your help.

Whoever told you that was wrong.

The only thing we say, is that in some circimstances, you can submit to one category that is not Regional, and one that is Regional, provided your site qualifies for both those categories.

Editors may in some circumstances decide that multiple categoires are ok, but you should NOT make submissions like that.

The editor made the correct choice to place you in the cat that covered both options, do not resubmit.

Would like to submit to another cateogory

Dear Editors,

I would like to submit to another category. I am in one category for DMOZ and I would like to be in another. Can you please tell me what I need to do to be in another category. Do I resubmit? I have already submitted www.Pass-Guaranteed.com in two categories but was only in one category.

Are you asking how you can have your site moved from the first category to the second? If so, you can submit an update URL request and an editor will review it.

If you're wondering about making an additional submition in hopes that your site will be listed multiple times, that's a bad idea. The ODP submission guidelines expressly prohibit this:

Please only submit a URL to the Open Directory once. Again, multiple submissions of the same or related sites may result in the exclusion and/or deletion of those and all affiliated sites.

As a minimum, further submissions will be deleted as duplicates.
