We submitted our site http://www.prezzatech.com to http://dmoz.org/Computers/Software/Marketing/Surveys/ a while back and haven't seen anything.

Somehow we got a link under http://dmoz.org/Computers/Programming/Internet/ASP/Applications/Polls/ for "Ultimate Poll" but this is not what was submitted (to our knowledge) and is a page to be discontinued.

Do we still have a pending listing for the Survey category? What's the right way to approach this?

Sorry if this is a stupid question...We tried to follow the rules and guidelines.

Thank you in advance.

Not at all a stupid question. Your site is still pending in the Surveys category. We can't estimate when it will be reviewed, but if you haven't seen it listed in 6 months you are welcome back to ask for status again.

The Ultimate Poll deeplink on your site was judged to have enough content to be listed, and that won't prejudice your root URL from being listed (provided there is more content on the site than that deeplink!). If and when the Ultimate Poll page is discontinued, we'd really appreciate it if you go to the category where it is listed and click the "Update listing" link at the top of the page, and tell the editors that the page is to be removed. (It should be obvious from the page that it is going away before you do that - as you may imagine we don't pull working pages from the directory merely because someone tells us they are going to disappear ;) ) Thank you for asking. :{moz}

Update?

Can someone please give me an update on this?

It has been 6 months and we are still waiting.

You must wait 6 months from the last status check you were given - no earlier than 14 March please

On March 14 am I potentially going to be told that it is "still pending" and to wait another 6 months?

As I did not find anything in your FAQ, how long does it realistically go on before one can assume that either a) no one is editing the category we are requesting to be in or b) our request was just "lost"?

Thanks.

I would never assume anything until you are specifically told the site is listed or the site has been declined. But it's your choice as to whether you ask again in six months, it makes no difference as to when the site gets reviewed.

The FAQ gives the best answer we can give you under How long until my site will be reviewed?

Simply speaking we cannot predict the future. Your site might be reviewed as I post, or it may never be reviewed.

You may, but not until six months have passed since the last reply.

You were given a status on March 15, six months from then is not in April.

On your side note, you'll have to ask in that thread.

Actually, I was asking for the status of my posting to the regional category (http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/United_States/Massachusetts/Localities/C/Cambridge/Business_and_Economy/Computers_and_Internet/ ), not the one that I inquired about in March (http://dmoz.org/Computers/Software/Marketing/Surveys/ ).

Am I not allowed to ask for a status update on the regional separately from the other category? I am trying to follow your rules, but nothing was mentioned about this....Please forgive me if I missed this.

I realize that you guys are all very very busy and graciously appreciate your replies.

Ah, another category - no problem then. I checked and your site is waiting for review in that Regional category.

Please be kind enough to combine both status check in a single request six months after today, this will avoid the confusion and another possible error on our part.
