unfortunately it seems, every search engine is using paid inclusions, due to so many submissions.

No, it couldn't have been http://dmoz.com/Computers/Internet/ since that category is not accepting submissions either. (There's no "suggest URL" link on the green bar at the top of the category.) Did you, perhaps, submit the site to one of the letter subcategories of [cat]Computers/Internet/Web_Design_and_Development/Designers/Full_Service[/cat]?

Also, if you just submitted the site within the last 30 days, you are not elligible for a status update request. You must wait at least a month from the time of your last submission before we will give you the status of your submission.

We're actually quite firm on the one month rule. Could you please come back in two weeks and bump this thread. That way we can all be sure that it has been at least a month. Thanks for your understanding.
