site submission status of http://www.geocities.com/sjlab1271

I first submitted my site just over six months ago, and it's never been listed in any of the categories which I submitted to. I have tried several times and have had no results. I was not even aware of this forum until today when I happened across it while searching for other ways to get listed on the internet. I had tried several links on the DMOZ site to contact someone with this issue of not getting listed. I realize that it's people having to actually review suggested sites, but my site does not contain questionable material.
It's my photography business site.

Please advise why I can't seem to get listed in any of these categories.

Did you not read the submission guidelines when you kept trying to add your site? It clearly states to submit to the single best category. This does not mean to 8 different categories which is border line spamming and creates unnecessary work for the editors.

I suggest you review the guidelines you agreed to when you clicked on the "suggest a url" button at http://dmoz.org/add.html.

Step Three
Identify the single best category for your site. The Open Directory has an enormous array of subjects to choose from. You should submit a site to the single most relevant category. Sites submitted to inappropriate or unrelated categories may be rejected or removed.
