Is it too soon to reinquire about the status of my website submission?

You can look above to see the directory I submitted to.
I am a little confused because I saw a one month rule
and a six month rule.

I am curious to hear a response I have been waiting for a while.
Is it normal for a site to be waiting for 7 months.

Thanks for any help!

Yes, it's too soon. The one month is after a submittal. But once submitted and received, the wait is six months.

As for waiting for review, the clock starts ticking when a site is completed (not when it's submitted), and ... seven months is normal. In fact, anything is normal, from a few minutes to a few years. Think of it like a lottery. Each day each of several thousand editors pulls a winning ticket. How long till your ticket is drawn???

Since submittals are only one form of getting sites, the reality is that in a perfect world a site should be added to the directory a second after it has been completed, and we should not have to wait for someone to submit/suggest it to us. And since we add many sites that have never been submiitted, that makes sense. Therefore - if you want to measure waiting time, it's from the date of site creation, not the date of submission.

Conversely, many sites are submitted while they are still under construction, and are not at all ready to be added to the directory, so that's another reason why the "wait" time from submission date is meaningless.
