Dave, you are correct, we do love playing around. It helps to relieve the tension of trying to answer incomplete and untimely requests. But when you return for your status, there are two links in my signature that you should read before posting. One is the FAQ and the other is the Forum Guidelines. As hutcheson said you have time.

changed my category

I really strongly felt that I submitted to a wrong category earlier on this month, so I took the time to review and resubmit my site for the last time today on March 26th to "Shopping: Health: Vision: Sunglasses".... I will come back after April 26th and get a status on my site....

thanks and happy Easter :)

Basically, the status of submittals won't be available. It wasn't available before this forum opened (except in the brief periods when other forums attempted the same thing.)

And ... it doesn't matter. Whatever the status, you know what you need to do, which is the best thing you can do for yourself: at dmoz.org, follow the submittal policy; eveverywhere, take responsibility for your own website promotion (recognizing that's not something the ODP does.)

Site Status?

I know I have to promote my site, but you guys are the biggest Directory so I’m really counting on the fact that I will get approved.

What is the status of my site though? still pending?

Thanks Dave

Honestly? I wouldn't even cross my fingers, because you can't do other promotional work with your fingers permanently crossed. That would be a much better use of your time than fretting whether your site has been reviewed yet.

It WILL get reviewed, of that there is little doubt. You resubmitting won't make that happen any faster (in fact, it might make it slower). Asking status in a forum will neither help it be reviewed quicker, nor affect the outcome of the review.

I understand the frustration of not seeing a result, or not knowing the result, but that is what submitting to the ODP is about, and it is well-documented elsewhere.

Status? Thanks and Best Regards.

I don’t mean to be bothersome at all, but I just wanted to know if my site is still in the waiting period of did it get disapproved? And from the last post I didn't understand if I had to wait or was it disapproved.

Thanks, Dave

Best regards!
