Also, please read Submitting a Site to The Open Directory Project before, well, submitting to ODP. This would help you determine that the site is unlistable...

I'm afraid that is what is being said.

Can you please explain. I made sure i followed all the rules. I had my geocities site in and it was almost identical until I needed more bandwidth so i bought a url. That geocities url was www.geocities.com/discountedphonerates/ yes i took it down. So people didnt think I stole it.
By the way thanks for the quick responce. Can you guys give any help on what my site needs to get in?

The unwritten zeroth rule of site submittal is: "first have relevant unique content."

All the other rules are just ways of saying, "check to make sure you really have unique content" and "check again to make sure your content really is unique" and "while you're checking, don't forget that these are SOME of the kinds of content that are never unique."

Anyone who has a real business will always be happy to tell you what they'll do for you that nobody else can do. That's the "unique information" about a business -- how they offer to earn your money.

I see no evidence that http://www.geocities.com/discountedphonerates/ was ever listed in ODP.

However, if it was listed (with the same content currently found at http://www.a-1cellphones.com/), that would have been a mistake; and an editor would have corrected it sooner or later.
