I have submitted 3 different sites to this category:

http://www.dmoz.org/Business/Telecommunications/Location_and_Tracking/Vehicle/

over the past 9 months and none of the sites have ever seen them posted. I understand you get quite a lot of postings and maybe the amount of Spam is killing you, but I would assume that even one would get approved in a 9 month period.

I even applied to be an Editor thinking maybe they were short handed and was told they already have an Editor.

Please go through and process the sites. Or contact me and I can tell you which ones I have submitted since you don't want them posted here.

This is never a reason to reject an editor application. You must have misunderstood the email you received. It will contain a list with common mistakes (see it as a test to see if you are able to determine which of these mistakes need correction in your application)

We don't look at sites just because people ask us to do. If we do it for you we will have to do it for all other people who suggested a webiste and also for all people who did not suggest their website.

Please read our FAQ (link at top of this page) for more information about how DMOZ works.

That category, with 165 listings, is too large for a new editor. The application form recommended that you choose one with fewer than 100.

The generic message that usually gets sent in this circumstance includes:

you have chosen a category that is already well represented, or is broader than we typically assign to a new editor
but lots of folks don't notice the bolded part of the sentence :(.
