Hi,

I have submitted the website http://www.komuro.info in the following category: Top: Regional: Asia: Japan: Arts and Entertainment: Contemporary: Music: Bands and Artists

However, I have not received any reply and my site is not listed.

I also wrote to an editor of the category I submitted my site in but I did not received any reply either.

What can I do to solve the problem?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Best regards,

Steve

We will almost never send any reply after a suggested site is reviewed.
Editors are advised not to answer emails. A lot of very bad experiences in the past are the reason for not answering emails.

There is nor problem. Your site is either still waiting review or it is rejected. You can check yourself if the site is or will be rejected by reading the guidelines at DMOZ. http://dmoz.org/add.html and http://dmoz.org/guidelines/include.html

Hi,

I have carefully read all guidelines before submitting my website and I did it again before sending this reply. I think I have followed all guidelines.

However, if the editor thinks I made a mistake when I submitted my website and nobody tells me what this mistake is, the problem will never be solved.

I would therefore be thankful if an editor could check my site to tell me if he sees something inside that prevents it from being added to the ODP.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Best regards,

Steve

Steve,

The only true mistake you can make submitting your site is to give us the wrong URL.

There really is nothing else that you could do wrong (unless you were maliciously trying to send multiple submissions, etc., but I don't get the feeling you have done that)

Anything else you do (incorrect title or description, or incorrect category) will be corrected by the editor reviewing the site.

As for checking the contents of the site itself, this is not a service we can offer, I'm afraid. However, if your site contains information about (in the oft-repeated words of a fellow editor) who you are and what you do for money, chances are very very good that the site will eventually be included.

If your site is a pure information site, this means that you have to have unique (i.e. not copied from anywhere else) and useful content. You could probably get a few friends to take a look at your site and give you that feedback. :)

Hope this clarifies for you.
