Hi,

I sumbitted my site to a category in January and the site has not yet been listed. Now I think that it maybe the wrong category, can I resubmit to a different category without getting penalized? My site is a water conservation site providing product and services to the Irish market.

Thank you for your help.

Thank you, I will do that immediately. We actaully support all of Ireland so should I submit to a few different regions?

No. Suggest it to the ONE category that best matches your website.

...which would be Ennis as I already told you :). In Ireland, listable websites correctly suggested to their localities are usually listed within a month. Misplaced websites can take a lot longer.

Hi,

I resubmitted my two sites <URLs removed> to regional location Ennis and only <co name removed> has been added. Can you advise if something has happened with <url removed>

Also I would like to add <co name removed> is a number of different location as we cover the whole of Ireland. Is it possible to be listed in many different locations?

Thank you in advance for any assistance.
Regards,
Jackie

Hi again, s

Sorry to be a nuisance but can you advise the status on <url removed> which was submitted at the same time as <url removed> but has not been added yet.

Also, <url removed> site description currently reads: "Offers water and energy saving. Profile, services and product range". Is it possible for me to add "leak detection services" to the description as this is our primary business.

Thank you,
Jackie

One of your previous posts was already edited by us.
The reason provided was "We don't discuss specific websites here so URLs neither needed nor welcomed."
This applies for all posts and for all websites / urls.

If a description for a listed website is in your eyes not correct you can ask for an update. Go to the category in which the website is listed and click the appropriate link at the top of the page. But remember that the change will be done by an editor after review of the update request. We will only make a change if the website supports the request. So if we do not find anything about "leak detection" on the website than we will not change the descrition.

Ok sorry, I didn't realise that I should not mention a specific website. Is there a way of checking on the status of a submission?

I will go ahead and ask for an update on the description. Thank you.

Dear Sir/Madam, I submitted two websites at the start of the year and one was accepted. The second one was submitted in the wrong region and I subsequently resubmitted this to the correct region however it has not been added to date. I have been advised that I will not know if the site has been rejected so I don't know how to proceed, I am wondering if there is some way to find out if my site has been indexed. Thank you,

Thank you for your response. I check each week but still no listing and my concern is that it has been rejected and I don't know about it or that there is some problem with the site. I then have to report to my management on the status and cannot give a definite answer. I do understand your policy though and I will continue to check each week.

I haven't checked your particular details (and won't) but be aware that we don't list related websites. That a website has been spread across multiple domain names doesn't make it eligible for multiple listings.

Yes we understand that. Our main website is and information site focussed on our services, leak detection and water conservation whereas our other site is a completely separate online shop selling products. They are separate business entities.

Ok now I understand.

I have been advised that the sites were originally linked but in the separation of the entities and redesign of the 2nd site all links back to the original site were removed. The link from the services to the products page was not removed.

I understand from a technical position that this is not important to dmoz however I can only say truly that both sites are independent business entities with one site for information and the other for sales.

If it is not possible to have the second site listed could I delist the services site and resubmit the online shop which is the more important site?

Thank you.

We're quite happy with the main domain, which includes a link to the shopping domain, being listed. You don't have the choice as to which one of the two we choose.
