Dear Editors,

We are a top placement consulting company based out of India and providing manpower recruitment and headhunting solutions to our client.

We have submitted our site Vividity Consulting <url removed> with the most accurate description and under the following category about 3 months back but it has still not been listed.

Top: Business: Employment: Recruitment and Staffing: Recruiters

Can you please explain if we are going wrong somewhere or it will usually take more time than that to list.

Thanks for your time!

Regards

ODP is a volunteer organisation and editors edit where they wish, when they wish and as much as they wish within the constraints of their permissions. We have no system to force people to do work that they don't volunteer to do. ODP is not a free listing service for website owners and it does not attempt to process their listing suggestions within the time scales desired by them.

Elapsed times before processing range from a few days to a few years. Please be patient.

More Information

Just wanted to add that we are also into the business of IT solutions development and Corporate Training but our main focus is on recruitment and hence the site has been submitted under the recruitment category.

We have submitted the site under this category today, hoping this will be the most accurate match.
Business: Information Technology: Employment: Regional: Asia

Look forward to your comments/suggestions.

Thanks

Thanks for your quick response Jim. We understand your point regarding patience. We just wanted to ensure that things are being done in the correct fashion to facilitate quicker review by the editor.

Since you have now violated policies by suggesting your site to multiple categories -- why not suggest it to the remaining 690,000 categories? you were told to be patient.

Why ask if you are going to ignore the advice and do what you want to do?

You were not told to suggest it again -- and in doing so you have added work for the directory volunteers and unnecessarily increased the size of the suggestion pool.

You also violated forum policies by adding a pseudo-signature plugging your company -- don't you think that if the moderators wanted you to add signatures they would have enabled them?

Oh, I forgot, we already established that the rules don't apply to you.
