Hi,

I requested a few site URL updates at the begining of January, but nothing has changed. My sites are listed in DMOZ, which is great, but they show the wrong URL's. Our client recently changed the URL's of its sites and so, we would like them also updated in DMOZ.

The URls are as follows:

Isle of Jura website:
Currently has URL listed as in category http://dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/Scotland/Business_and_Economy/Industries/Whisky/Brands/
as URL http://www.cannedtuna.co.uk/isleofjura2
Should be listed as www.isleofjura.com

Dalmore website:
Currently listed as in category http://dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/Scotland/Business_and_Economy/Industries/Whisky/Distillers/
as URL - www.dalmoredistillery.co.uk
Should be listed as www.thedalmore.com

Kyndal Spirits website: Company name now changed to Whyte and Mackay. URL currently listed in category - http://dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/Scotland/Business_and_Economy/Industries/Whisky/Private_Labels/
as URL - www.kyndal.co.uk
Should be listed as www.whyteandmackay.co.uk

I sent in requests for all of the above changes, including new titles ets, at the start of January. Can you tell me why these have not changed, and if they will be changed? It is really quite important, and the client has been asking about it.

Regards
Brian

Make sure that the OLD URL either redirects to the new URL, or the OLD URL provides a clear "we have moved to..." notice, so that editors can easily verify the move.

The currently listed Dalmore URL (http://www.dalmoredistillery.co.uk) already points to a page which now says "The Dalmore Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky website can now be found at www.thedalmore.com"

The currently listed Whyte and Mackay corporate site, listed as www.kyndal.co.uk, already says "Kyndal Spirits Ltd are now known as Whyte and Mackay Ltd. The Whyte and Mackay Ltd website can now be found at: www.whyteandmackay.co.uk"

The link that the current listing of Isle of Jura links to no longer exists, which is why we need it changed. Putting a "redirect" on it is not very easy for us to do.

Any ideas when these will be looked at?

Impossible to predict. You have done what needs to be done, so all you need now is some patience.
