A site I suggested recently requires the user to register prior to storing data on the site or purchasing product. The majority of the site is viewable and useable without registering. I have searched again the editor guidelines, submission activities and forums and can't find an answer to my question which is: How does an editor access protected areas of a site?
a) I was supposed to do something when I suggested the site
b) They will register when they review the site
c) They will contact me for a username/password when they review the site
d) other

If a or d, where do I go to figure out what I should do next. I'm sorry if the answer readily exists and I was unable to find it.

Thanks.

Resubmit the site and include a username and password in the description field. That is the way most site owners handle it, and that is just fine with us. Once (if) you are listed, you can kill off the username/password.

Indeed so.

However, we do re-evaluate listed websites from time to time, so a savvy editor might well take a note of them for that purpose. It eases his/her task if you don't deactivate them.
