Site with many categories

Hi,

I have a site with all kinds of categories (not a directory). Due to this, I found it impossible to choose one category and submitted it to a couple of categories (4, they were all relevant), but now I think maybe I made a mistake doing this since it doesn't get listed. Now I don't know if the site doesn't get listed because I submitted it to several categories, because I submitted it to the wrong categories or simply because it's not good enough (which I really don't think is the case). Could anyone advice me what to do?

Unfortunately, we can't give status information about specific sites. Suggesting the site to four categories probably won't get you in trouble but I'd recommend that you not suggest it to any more.

I will not submit the site to any more categories, but can you tell me if I could, after a period of time, try to submit it to a more general category? If so, how long should I wait before doing this?

If your website belongs in a more general category, I'm sure that one or more of the four editors who process your existing four listing suggestions will move it to there.
