Some volunteer will process your listing suggestions in time but we can't predict who or when that might be. Elapsed times can range from a few days to a few years. There is no need to re-suggest your website and doing so could be counter-productive because a later suggestion overwrites any earlier one.

Hello...I too recently submitted my website to DMOZ, however, are you being serious that it could take years to get a website listed in DMOZ directory? If that is true, something is not right about that.

Here we are trying to market our website so that the public can become aware of services that are available...and a reputable business like DMOZ can not seem to provide timely service.

Who can I make a complaint to, or is this website to cliquish to really care? I would like a reply to this question.

Sincerely,
Gary Dimitris

I thik you misunderstood what DMOZ is all about.

First of all: We are no business. DMOZ is a group of volunteer editors consisting of people like you and me who build a directory in their spare time. Editing in DMOZ is as voluntary as it can be: An editor is not forced to do a large amount of work, and if he is allowed to edit several categories he is not force to split his work evenly. He is not even forced to peocess a single site suggestion if he has other sources of new listings.

Additionally, the "service" we provide is to build a directory for our visitors. We do not - and never claimed to do so - provide any listing service for businesses like yours. We do accept site suggestions merely to make it easier for our editors to spot suitable sites, but never promise to get them reviewed within any timeframe. So given your posting, there basically is nothing to complain about for you.
