sites all pulling from the same database

I was lookin for fastener manufacturers and noticed that Thomas register is listed, there is also a site fastenersHQ.com, It seems to me that it is using the Thomas register Database for all its info.
Repeat of same info in both locations.

I use Open directory all the time, I do a lot of searches for manufacturing and other related industries. I am just trying to help DMOZ, I am interested in becoming an editor, are there any resources to find out the full details of expectations.
