I have been trying to get my wife's real estate site listed in dmoz for over 4 months now. I submt and wait 2 or 3 weeks, nothing. Then try again, nothing. I believe I am submitting it to the correct catagory. Can someone tell me if this is the correct catagory for a real estate agent...

I'll do these in reverse order;

Regional: North America: United States: New Jersey: Localities: P: Princeton: Business and Economy: Real Estate (24)

Looks about right assuming she is an agent whose office is located in Princeton, New Jersey and isn't a sub-site of a larger agency.

Our guidelines indicate to submit once. You may actually be delaying you submissions review if those that choose to edit in that category do so by earliest date, as your later submissions keep pushing it further down the list chronologically.

Real Estate is a very busy topic as you may imagine and has very specific guideline of it's own and it can sometimes take a while to be reviewed. Unfortuantely we can offer no definite timeframe for that to happen.

Yes, she is an agent of RE/MAX of Princeton which is in Princeton. I built a website for her. I see someone from her office in the DMOZ directory that I am trying to get her into.

With regards to the sumbitions, I guess what you are trying to say is be patient. Just at a loss if the site doesn't get in because of an error on my side, how long would I wait before trying a resubmission.

Thanks for your help.

The editors are very good at correcting suggestion errors. As long as the site is listable according to the Guidelines it will eventually be included. There aren't too many mistakes you could make that would prevent a listing, mistakenly suggesting to the wrong category, giving an inappropriate title or description for example will be corrected by the reviewing editor if the site meets the guidelines. Once suggested, the only reason to resuggest a site more than once (one resuggestion to ensure there were no errors in the system is acceptable), would be if the sites content underwent a significant change.
