I'm not quite sure of the category - it's was very hard to decide with so many similair categories but I think I submitted to either:

http://www.dmoz.com/Regional/Europe/Travel_and_Tourism/Lodging/

or

http://www.dmoz.com/Regional/Europe/Travel_and_Tourism/Lodging/Vacation_Rentals/

I did only submit to one. I would be greatful if someone could please give me an update on this.

Thanks for the prompt response.

Any idea how long you one would usually expect it to take before the site is reviewed in such a category? Also is there any way to find if a category actually has an editor?

None whatsover but feel free to bookmark this thread and check again in six months.

Also is there any way to find if a category actually has an editor?

You can see if the category has a named editor by looking at the bottom of the page however this really means nothing when it comes to review times.

The best way to estimate is to do a search on Google for keywords that would seem to target that category, and see how many sites pop up. Assume we'll review about half of them before yours. But you could be first, and you could be an ever-receding next-to-last-site-before-the-end-of-the-internet. We won't know until the editor chooses which one to review next, and it's yours.

Could someone be kind enough to give me an update on this submission.

Since submitting the site we have expanded our services to include properties worldwide as opposed to just Europe when the site was submitted. If the site has not yet been accepted is it possible to request the submission is moved to a more appropriate category?

I'm hoping I don't have to resubmit and go back to the start of the queue in another category.
