Status for http://www.conficio.com/

Hi,
I did issue my site at least two month ago. As far as I remember to this category (but I'm not sure about that).

http://www.dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/United_States/Massachusetts/Localities/M/Melrose/

I can see a dmoz bot visiting my site from time to time, but I'm not sure if this a genuine thing or someone pretending to be affiliated with dmoz/odp.

Anyhow, I'd like to hear what the status of my request is. And may be if I have submitted to the wrong category.

The site is not present in the unreviewed queue of that category or any of the subcategories. Actually, that locality has zero unreviewed - someone must be taking good care of it.

I looked at the site and it looks like you almost got it right as far as submitting but I would go one more down and submit to

http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/United_States/Massachusetts/Localities/M/Melrose/Business_and_Economy

Also, since your domain redirects to

http://conficio.home.comcast.net/

You might as well submit that url instead of the other one because that is what is going to be listed anyway.

Though I have a few questions now:
- Would you advise to resubmit the site to the deeper category?
- Why would the redirect be used. This is a mere hosting technicallity, which might/will change in the future (butdget permitting). I hope the editor would respect the original domain, which does state the name of the business clearly. Is this against the rules?

I suggest you submit to the category in my previous post. You can submit whichever URL you want but we will list the one that it redirects to - it is just the rule of things. I am sure there are technical reasons for it but I am not trying to be technical right now, rather just helpful
