This Message...

Two months have passed since my forum post and three months since submitting our site.

There's no editor for the chosen category and no other sites have been added for that category.

Does that mean that I, or no one else, will be looked at for posting so long as no editor is available?

Is there another solution?

I'd especially recommend the following mantra:

"No site is Guaranteed a listing."

I can add more detail. The category you mention is one where virtually all of the submitted sites belong either elsewhere or nowhere. (I monitor several such categories regularly: I can go for years and process thousands of edits in the unreviewed queue without doing anything publicly visible.)

It is therefore natural that (1) no VISIBLE activity occurs there; and (2) the only possible result of submitting there is additional delay waiting for an editor to move a site closer to the proper category.
