We have submitted this a couple of years ago and once again today.

http://www.hutchens.com.au

We also submitted http://www.meditek.net a while ago for disabilities and stairlifts section.

Any news would be appreciated so I can understand the process and if there is any deficiency in what I am doing.

Out of about 10 customers I have submitted, we have had no successful submissions, so I am starting to get worried we are doing something wrong.

Some of my other customers have mysteriously appeared. Is it possible that you guys go looking yourself ?

Please read the posting guidelines - clickable link to the category submitted to etc.

Absolutely - that's where the bulk of listed sites probably come from.

Can we get dmoz to write more descriptive emails to people who submit. ie name of domain and category to which it was submitted. When I came back to re-submit, I may have submitted it to a different category.

Given that we are talking in geological time scales, my submission in the Jurassic period followed by my submission in the Triassic periods are no longer in my inbox. I have to clean my emails out once every 300 million years. The only ones in the inbox are those from the Tertiary.

Just Jokes.

I meant your site was dead when I checked it, I can access it now.

My Christmas gift to you:

hutchens.com.au, submitted 09/November/2004 08:56:25 GMT, not exactly a different era, is waiting for review. As a special bonus, why not submit this one to http://dmoz.org/Regional/Oceania/Au...ocalities/S/South_Perth/Business_and_Economy/ as well - looks like a possible candidate for there.

meditek.net submitted 11/November/2004 15:14:39 GMT, again a mere blink of an eye in ODP terms, is also waiting for review.

You can come back in 6 months for an update on them both.

Have a great New Year.

The ODP does not send site suggestion confirmation emails, they look like the address confirmation emails from applications to be an editor. Those particular emails are only used once to confirm the email address of applicants, prior to adding them to the application review pool.

Thanks guys

Lads,

After a couple of days looking at the new moderated forum for DMOZ, I can only say one thing.

10 points.

Love it. I am actually aware something is happening. Which is a major improvement on the previous system.
