It's been about 90 days so I'm checking on the status of my site, http://www.onemorebite-weightloss.com

It was submitted to the category at http://www.dmoz.com/Health/Weight_Loss/

I'm assuming it's a very busy category, but I'd appreciate any input. I noticed in another thread the editors are not required to review sites in any particular order. Does that mean that the site's name itself could make a difference it its chances of being reviewed? Just curious, and if that's a question better asked elsewhere, let me know.

Thanks in advance.

The submission is currently pending review. The only way to facilitate a listing, imho is to submit with dmoz.org compliant titles and descriptions.

Thanks for the advice about Title and Description. Do they use the current Title and Description on the site itself, or the one that was submitted at the time of original submission? I ask because I have changed my pages a time or two, and they may not match exactly. At this point, I believe they are the same, which I thought complied with the DMOZ requirements.

Is there any way to edit those, once submittied and prior to being listed? Just curious. Thanks much.

We base the title on the title at the time we review the site. Similarly, the descriptino is based on site contents the day we look at it. We base nothing on tomorrow or yesterday.

Hope that helps.

One Year Later - Still Pending?

I'm checking to be sure my site, http://www.onemorebite-weightloss.com is still in the pending list? It's been about 15 months since I originally posted the site. There are many sites in the Weight Loss category that are no longer in existance so I'm wondering if this site has an editor. Although one is listed, he didn't reply to a direct inquiry sent months ago.

I realize these editors are ultra busy, but since it is allowed to send an inquiry, it would make sense if they could send an auto response to verify the message was at least received.

Thanks for checking.
