Status for "qnx6"

my application was submitted on June 11 for a category that does not already have an editor: http://dmoz.org/Computers/Software/Operating_Systems/Realtime/QNX/
Any updates? (maybe I should wait another 3 days til it reaches 3 weeks before asking, but since I just found this forum today and just can't resist <img src="/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" />

Sorry, but I'm not seeing an application waiting for that category which would lead me to believe that the application was rejected. You might want to give it another try, but first take a look at FAQ and General Advice.

That's interesting. I read the FAQ you pointed and it says you will get a reply if the application is rejected. But I have never heard of anything except the original two emails:

first one:

Do not change the Subject: line -- it contains your registration key.

The acceptance / rejection email comes from a different address to the first two, and the ODP software fiddles with the mail headers on it. This means that some spam detection software will bin the message, after happily letting the first ones through. Someone asked here recently, and was told that he had been accepted, but the mail message had been eaten somewhere. Check your spam bucket to see if there's anything there. Of course, if your ISP filters out spam mail, there's nothing we can do.

I just tried again. Though there is no editor for this category, it gives me "This category does not accept new editor applications at this time.". oh well. This category is full of obselete/wrong/incorrect information, and hasn't been updated for a while. I was going to "fix" them. Anyway, here are some of the stuff I spotted at a first glance, in case other editor wants to fix them:

Category description: "source code available" is inaccurate.

sites like: QNXstart.com, http://www.geocities.com/qnxforum/ are dead for years.

online gambling site like "QNX Obsessed" somehow got into this category.

One html page of a site also sneaked in. (thought you only submit a site, not a page of your site).

etc. etc.

Due to the ongoing upgrade, that error mesage sometimes appears for all categories. In a couple of weeks, it will hopefully be finished, and then applying won't be a problem.

Tried again and no errors this time. Can you check if it is in the queue?
