status for www.ecrystalradio.com

My first post was in the end of May. Back then I was tinkerbell. I came back just now and there was no tinkerbell...I had to re-register. **EDIT** Just read the corrupted database message and I DID reg after April 30! </edit> In the meanwhile, someone else has my post!!?? I don't know who this fellow is, but my product is made in Arkansas USA and not Thailand. How did someone else get their name on my post??

I also had a reply to my post, which is now gone. I was told that I had less than 20 people before me. jrose has not updated the list since May 29, 2003. It is usual to go several months before an update?

Hoping my original post gets back into my name and looking forward to any new info on how many may still be ahead of me.

We are not doing any Status Reports this week as per sticky thread at top of forum.
Reactivate this thread in about a week or so, after the servers come back online.

New description/category since submission 10 months ago

Hello! I originally submitted my site last May to http://www.ecrystalradio.com to http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Antiques_and_Collectibles/Radios with the description/highlight on our double slider radios.

The theme and emphasis for our site has changed and I've also found the EXACT category that I need in. I submitted there a month or so ago to this category:

http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Consumer_Electronics/Communications/Wireless/Radios/Kits_and_Components

Is there a way to NOT be submitted to the original one as I BELONG in the second one as I make crystal radio KITS. If there is something that I should be or should have done, could I get information on what needs doing?

Editors review and place sites based on the content of the site at the time they review it. We view the description and initial category with a grain of salt since, good intentions notwithstanding, huge numbers of sites are innocently missubmitted and require moving.

My personal advice is to adopt a wait and see attitude. If your website clearly focuses on kits, the editor will notice and will move your submission to the correct category. Even if the editor misses the connection, and you are placed in a less than optimal category, you can submit a URL change request and we will reconsider the placement (but while that is happening, you are, at least, in the directory).
